Coordinate the shared spaces first
Ask the property manager which entrance and loading area should be used, whether an elevator needs reserving and how communal areas must be protected. Obtain these answers for both ends of the move. Share the contact person and agreed access window with the moving team; an available date does not by itself establish building access.
Organise belongings by destination
When moving between layouts, count more than rooms. Label boxes for the room where they should arrive and note furniture that may no longer fit. Keep a list of items that will be sold, donated or left behind so they are not included by mistake. Describe any awkward turns between the loading point, stairs and your front door.
Keep the estimate and the booking distinct
Include your preferred date, an alternative if you have one, the pickup and destination details and the type of property. Ask what the estimate includes and what information is still needed. Confirm the final scope and arrangements with the team before relying on a booking. This planning guide does not promise a fixed rate, travel time or available crew.
Your enquiry checklist
- Confirm elevator reservations, shared loading access and the building contact at each address.
- Label the inventory by destination room and exclude belongings that are not moving.
- Discuss date flexibility and ask which estimate details still need confirmation.
